Footage Information
All AFL footage requests must be approved by the AFL, with all approved AFL footage sourced through AFL Films. All requests must take into consideration the collective agreement between the AFL and the AFL Players’ Association.
You need to register to apply for access to AFL vision. You will be notified within 24 hours whether your registration has been successful or not. If successful you will receive your login and password details. You will then need to login and fill in the application on-line. The AFL will respond with approval given or not given. AFL response may take up to 7 days for the approval process.
The two possible costs involved are firstly, AFL royalties for vision use. The other cost involved will be AFL Films production costs to source and access the vision, which depends on your requirements.
A standard agreement will be sent to you to sign and send back. The agreement will contain all costs involved. The AFL will give final approval to release footage on receipt of the signed agreement.
Once we have received the signed agreement, your job will be booked into an edit suite. You will be notified when the tape is ready for collection, or AFL Films can arrange dispatch for you.
